The eclipse corridor for this year is coming to a close, ending with this full Moon at 14 degrees 08 minutes of Aries on 7 October at 03:47am UTC.

Is Mise é / It is I
The fruit of this full Moon was seeded back in late March this year at the partial solar eclipse new Moon in Aries. There was a big focus on the sign of Aries at that time, Venus and Mercury retrograding there, Neptune ingressing into the sign with a Saturn ingress shortly after. Did new desire appear in the Aries place of your chart, a new hunger for self, me, and I. In the last 6 months have you discovered a new part of yourself that perhaps you do not completely recognise? A mysterious part that may have been dormant or unseen. Are you reclaiming parts of yourself you thought lost? Perhaps now is the time to issue a declaration of this is me, and this is me, and this part is me too.
“The pattern is not ‘pathological’; it is mythic, and is, on some level, the image of Aries’ necessity. Here Father stands as both the obstacle and as the means of growth”
Liz Greene, The Astrology of Fate
An tAthair Uafásach / The Terrible Father
Or are you breaking old rules within yourself, defying the internal parent/father figure. Are you breaking familial rules, rules of your community or challenging the laws of the land you inhabit? Are you recognising the harsh realities of patriarchal control, and the resulting collective malaise? Are you recognising if they can do this to an-Other they can do this to me? Are you pushing back against punitive laws on speech, expression and freedoms being curtailed? Remember this can be on any, and all ends of the political spectrum. This full Moon is a moment of striking out against paternal controls and edicts in all it’s forms.
Aries is the sign that marks the beginning of the zodiacal year. It is the domicile of Mars, and the place where the sun is exalted. The youthful strength of light, the celebration of the light coming forth and signifying the switch into the light part of the year. A turning point, the birth of the year, a place where we seek to individuate, strike out into the world, to move with intuition and heed desire. A place where we cultivate our sense of courage, be led by intuition and moved by heart.

The ruler of this full Moon, Mars is in his domicile in Scorpio. This place is darker, more still, than his other home of Aries. It is cave like, a place where a different part of the heart is required to dig deep into the stillness of oneself. To be brave enough to sit in that dark place of the unknown. Mercury continues his journey through the Zodiac and again arrives into the early degrees of a sustaining or fixed sign. Mercury hits a square with Pluto once more but this time from a different sign. Mercury is co-present with the domicile lord Mars in the still darkness of this place. Something is unearthed here in mind, memory, thought and speech. The muck is being disturbed and something is found.
A reclamation perhaps after the chaos of the eclipses. A revised or revisioning declaration of self. How can we provide sustenance to the newly (re)discovered parts of ourselves that are surfacing, and ripening. We are a few weeks after the Mars square Pluto configuration so perhaps now we can put words on what happened in the days around 24 September. Venus has passed the south node and approaches the opposition with Saturn. A Venusian ideal has since been released leading to a reckoning with decisions made in the past. We may be seeing more fully the implications of agreements made in March and understanding now that these ideals or our approach to them may need to change. The Venusian in our lives requires more sustained effort right now and any results may take longer than expected to materialise.

“All that you touch
Octavia e Butler,
You Change.
All that you Change
Changes you.
The only lasting truth
is Change.
God
is Change.”
The Parable of the SOwer
Saturn is making his way back over his path already taken since March. Returning to those late degrees of Pisces which were also under much focus earlier this year. There are echoes here of March-May 2025 through Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon inhabiting similar parts of the Zodiac. Saturn is returning to re-member, re-address, re-view something in the Pisces part of your chart. A foundation may require a fix or a change in order to make it stronger.
Neptune is very slowly following Saturn on this path. The new collective ideal is under re-view. Neptune is an atmosphere, a collective sense of something. Is bravery, a warrior like approach, the new human ideal for this time? Do we all need to engage our heart and courage for this period of Neptune in Aries? Does the respite from the anxiety inducing Saturn/Neptune conjunction allow us to see clearly the growing value on valour and acts of courage. Neptune co-present with this full Moon marks a collective moment of recognising the new ideal of human bravery and personal sovereignty. You may not feel this so personally if this amorphous being is not in testimony with personal points or planets.
Much of this full Moon puts me in mind of the bravery of the souls who board boats to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza. Those on the recent Sumud Flotilla and the people around the world protesting, blocking ports and roads, performing a peaceful disruption of everyday life, refusing to handle Israeli goods and weapons bound for Israel. A reminder that as we, the lucky ones, go about our usual day whole peoples, cultures are being erased. People are discovering new found courage to join these, and form new, movements. It’s not only Pluto in Aquarius but the markers of all the outer planets in testimony with one another reflecting this upheaval. It is a time of great change, world order change, change in collective ideals, changes within ourselves. The words of the great teacher Octavia E Butler feels like a prayer of our times and for all times.
